Imaan's 4th Birthday Party - Ballerina Themed

I really enjoy shooting kids parties because they are nothing but pure fun and joy. I also like themed parties because of the costumes and cool photos you end up with. Imaan's party was Ballerina themed and dozens of little girls loved dressing up and putting on all of the costume jewelry that was provided by Kidsville (www.kidsville.com), which by the way did a great job working with the kids and making all the party transitions as seamless as possible. ..all with a big smile!

It started off with Ballerina crowns on the ground for party guests to pick up as they arrived...

Eventually, after other fun activities, they brought all of the little ballerinas to another room with a mirror wall and ballet teacher to teach them all some basic dance moves that they would eventually try on their own...

And here is the Birthday girl performing a twirl she was taught just minutes before...

And last, but not least, the Birthday cake! Imaan was blowing out candles before the cake even touched the table so I had to work quick! :-)

Matos Family Session - Fun, Fun & More Fun!

Matos Family Collage

First, I want to say that it was a blast shooting this wonderful family. These kids were probably the best I've worked with so far and they had me laughing most of the time. And to think, one of my goals was to make "them" laugh and smile. Noah and Trinity were not picture shy and made it easy for me to capture great shots.

The goal was to get some nice fun family shots and over all I believe we accomplished that. These are just a few of the shots taken during this session and I hope you enjoy.

The weather is warming up, so don't forget to take advantage of our great sprint specials! :-)

Glover Vow Renewal Ceremony @ St. Patrick's Cathedral

>First, I want to congratulate the Glover's on 10 wonderful years together! This great couple came all the way from Nevada to renew their vows here in New York City at St. Patrick's Cathedral. This also was their first time here in New York and they were taking in all the sights and sounds. It was a pleasure to spend time with them and capture this special occasion and I wish them all the best going forward.

I wanted to share a couple of photos from yesterday, as I will continue working on the rest! Hope you enjoy.

Head Shots w/ Michael F.

Today I had the privilege of taking head shots for Michael, who was referred to me by a client that was very happy with their head shots. Thanks for being so easy to work with! We didn't have much time since Michael was on lunch break, but as you can see we definitely made the most of our time. We walked around a 3-4 block radius, founds some nice places to shoot and these photos are the end result.

Today is St. Patrick's day, so I had to navigate through midtown Manhattan through the many people arriving to celebrate with everyone else at the parade. I was able to get some nice shots for Michael and if anyone is looking for Head Shots for linkedin, facebook or for other reasons, I'd be more than happy to take them for you.

Shin Family Portraits

I had a great time with the Shin family celebrating their mom's 70th birthday. They figured they would surprise her with some family portraits, since it had been awhile since they did so and there have been new additions to the family since then. A great family and celebration and I was privileged to be a part of it. Thank you!

Project 365 Day 135: The Red Mill

The Red Mill (wd view)

The Red Mill was built in around 1810 as a locally owned wool business that eventually failed due to a downturn in the market for domestic cloth. It has been around now for over 200 years and is in the midst of a historic village in Clinton, New Jersey. It was so peaceful hearing the sound of the river water cascading while standing in a village that has been preserved over the years while being surrounded by modern living.

Again, it's great to get out and explore. Yes I want to travel the world someday, but I'm realizing there is so much to be discovered nearby.

Project 365 Day 134: Running into a herd of deers

A Curious Whitetail Deer (read description)

Funny how I bumped into this deer. I was walking about with my zoom lens out and looking for Red Tail Hawks (which I didn't find) when I turned a rocky corner and bumped into this beautiful deer that was about 15 feet from me. We both were startled and stared at each other for a few seconds (I was also like a deer caught in the headlights) until I regained my composure and started working that shutter.

Little did I know, there was a herd of 8 deers in total and they let me stay around them and take pictures until I decided to leave. This is one of the many reasons I enjoy being outdoors so much.
